See Our Work
David's woodwork — lathe-turned, hand-finished, built to last a lifetime.
Michelle's fiber arts — baskets, rugs, and quilts woven with care and creativity.
Sawdust and Sunflowers is the creative partnership of Michelle and David Leitko, a couple united by their dedication to handcrafted goods, sustainable materials, and the beauty found in everyday nature.
Michelle is a fiber arts artist whose work spans a wide range of textile traditions. She weaves and hand-forms beautiful baskets, hooking and braiding rugs with an artisan's touch, and brings warmth to every space with her quilts and sewing creations. Her baskets are finished with a rich, hand-crafted black walnut stain she makes herself — a natural dye as unique as the pieces it adorns.
David works his magic in wood, crafting everything from beautifully turned ornaments and pens on the lathe to traditional hand-crafted woodwork pieces that blend function with artistry. Every piece reflects a deep respect for the material and the craft.
